Between 12-23 November 2008 Gallery Futura / Karlin Studios from Prague hosted an exhibition of photography from Romania, entitled Open Access. Ro_Archive (curator: Aurora Kiraly; artists: Iosif Kiraly, Bogdan Bordeianu, Michele Bressan, Simona Dumitriu, Bogdan Girbovan, Raluca Ionescu, Nicu Ilfoveanu). Wednesday 12 November was the opening night, structured in the form of a multiple event that also involved presentations on Romanian contemporary art and the subject of the archive as cultural, artistic, and research initiative as well as a live audio-visual performance with Brazda lui Novac (music) and Cosmin Moldovan (visuals) These events were made possible by pRO_ARCHIVE, cultural project run by the Bucharest National University of Arts and its partner Vector Association, and funded by the Romanian Ministry of Culture through Promocult 2008 – programme for the promotion of Romanian contemporary art in the European Union.
